The Tinton Falls Democratic Club
NEWSLETTER
April 23, 2025
In this issue:
The 2025 Primary Election has Started.
Mail-in Ballots are on the way.

The swelling in my brain from the 2024 election hasn't finished going down, but believe it or not, the 2025 election is upon us.
Mail-in Ballots for the June primary should be in the mail. Keep an eye out for them and
DON'T THROW THEM AWAY !
TELL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO THROW THEM AWAY !
Seriously, so many people discard these things because they come so early, they don't realize these are their official ballots.

Filled ballots can be sent in via the mail or by using one of the 35 Secure Drop Box Locations, including EMS South and the Eatontown Municipal Building.

If you're not signed up for mail-in voting, here are the dates you care about:

June 3 to June 8 - Early In-person Voting at any of the 10 locations throughout the county.

June 10 - Primary Day at your assigned voting location
NJ Governor's Race
Don't know who to vote for?
Me neither!

Choosing between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is easy. Choosing between several highly qualified candidates for Governor is my worst nightmare, but that's exactly what we have to do in the June primary.

I've got it narrowed down to three of the six, but if you're like me and haven't decided, here are just a few more opportunities to help you decide:

The Two 'official' Debates - May 12 and May 18
There have been a few already, but the two officially sponsored debates are still to come. See information about these on our UPCOMING EVENTS PAGE.

Social Justice Candidate Forum
The League of Women Voters has a Facebook Live recording of a candidate forum they did on social justice issues. It's interesting, but there are some really boring speeches at the beginning. Skip to about 13:10 for the beginning of the forum.

The Endorsement Tracker
NJ Globe created an endorsement tracker page that lists each candidate and all of the people and organizations that have officially endorsed that candidate. It's interesting to see who steps up for each of the candidates, or at least who needs favors from those candidates :)

NPR Radio Story About the Primary
I only listen to NPR about 12 hours a day, so it's a complete surprise that I stumbled across this story about the primary and the Governor's race.

Important Info About Your Dues and the Club Info
Even If You Already Paid

WHAT? We're still harassing you about dues?
Well, sort of. This is a multi-part article related to dues:
New Treasurer, New Bank, New Mailing Address
Our last treasurer couldn't take the stress anymore, so he fled the town. But we've got a new wonderful treasurer, and we also have a new bank and a new (old) mailing address.

All of these things are detailed in our new Contact or Donate Page at
https://www.tfdems.org/contact-or-donate

Please get rid of any old contact info you had and make sure you use the new stuff when paying dues or any other items.

Did We Actually Deposit Your Dues Check?
This is embarrassing, but it seems that in the process of switching treasurers and banks, we may have missed depositing some of the dues checks we received. Don't say it, we know. Anyway, if you mailed us a check and it hasn't shown up in your account, please let us know and we'll get it straightened out or ask you real nicely for a new one. Thanks!

You Mean You Haven't Sent In Your Dues? Do it now!
I know, it's easy to forget things like sending us money, but if you did forget, we really would appreciate it if you'd consider sending us $25.00 each year to help keep the club running. Check out our new Contact or Donate page for info on mailing a check or paying by Zelle.
